My Sweet Marie

Spicy Mango Sauce

Posted on: April 11, 2013

I served this sauce up along a coconut crusted chicken and it was delicious! Give it a go with fish or chicken, even turkey!

  • 1 mango diced
  • 1 cup mango nectar or juice
  • 1 lime-juiced
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp red curry paste
  • 1-2 tbsp corn starch/water paste to thicken **

  1. I pureed the mango but it could stay chunky, your call. I used the immersion blender to puree it with the juice.
  2. Combine the juice, mango, lime, honey and curry paste in a small saucepan. Bring to a simmer.
  3. Once boiling, thicken with the cornstarch paste. I also have done this recipe with coconut flour and water as the thickener and had wonderful results, it all depends on what you have in the home!

** To make the cornstarch paste, mix the corn starch and water and stir. It should create a thick paste which is hard to stir. Once your liquid is boiling, stir in this paste and your sauce will thicken up! If it gets too thick, add a bit more liquid or juice.
