Happy New Year Eve’s!

I am making this today and have added scallops to the mix and goats cheese instead of the parmesan. My crumbs are gluten-free and I have used regular mushroom caps, so similar but different! what’s your switch on this recipe?

Enjoy this with a salad, baked potato and ta-da…lovely dinner!

My Sweet Marie

This is a favourite among many of my family and friends. For Valentine’s dinner I served these with steak and salad, a bit hit!

You will need:

  • 2 cups of crab (real or fake or combo of both)
  • 3/4 cup mayo or a substitute
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup of cracker or bread crumbs
  • 1/2 cup of red or green onion minced
  • 1/2 cup celery minced
  • 1/4 cup parmesan cheese grated
  • 4 large Portobello or 6 portobellini mushrooms or 1lb of mushroom caps(washed)

Mix together all ingredients except parmesan and mushrooms. Form patties out of crab mix. Line a tray with parchment paper or foil. Line the mushrooms on the tray and top with the crab filling. dot each topped mushroom with a tiny dollop of mayo and then sprinkle the parmesan on top of that.
