My Sweet Marie

Maple Balsamic Vinaigrette

Posted on: June 25, 2012

I am a big fan of homemade dressings. I rarely buy a bottled dressing anymore as there are so many ingredients that I can’t have, why bother!! Not to mention, the home-made dressings are so much tastier! This one here is a house favourite, it goes to work quite often with my hubby’s lunch! It also is a really nice dressing when sided with a steak! So picture a lovely salad with strips of steak cut thin and topped with this dressing….try it, you’ll love it! Feel free to put goat’s cheese, strips of avocado and walnuts on that salad too!

Maple Balsamic Dressing:

  • 1 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 1 tbsp of maple dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1-2 cloves of garlic
  • salt and pepper to taste

Directions:

  1. Whir all together with your immersion blender.
  2. serve over salad and pair up with a steak or pork chop!
  3. Now relax and enjoy!
