Green Beans Almondine (Haricots Verts Amandine)

This has to be one of my favourite veggies. I love it with anything at all and even all on it’s own! It’s easy to do, looks pretty and it a classic French recipe! Haricots Verts Amandine!

You need:

  • 1 lb of green beans snipped and washed
  • 1/4 cup of butter (or a butter sub that works for your needs)
  • 300g almonds julienne pieces
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice

Directions

  1. steam your green beans for 10-12 minutes till tender. keep warm
  2. While beans are cooking, melt butter in a saucepan. Add in almonds. cook till golden.
  3. Add in lemon juice. Now add in the beans and cook for 3 minutes.
  4. Serve warm as a side dish!
